Tom Boissonnet is currently preparing his PhD within the Asari Lab at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Rome (EMBL - Epigenetic & Neurobiology unit). After a bachelor degree in biology and a master shared between Neuroscience and Computer Science, he joined the group of Hiroki Asari, that research work focus on the retinopetal system or more specifically how visual processing in the retina is dynamically modulated by efferent inputs under different behavioural conditions.

During his thesis, Tom is setting a method to obtain electrophysiological recordings of the retinal ganglion cells in vivo. In parallel, he is developing a processing pipeline for his group using exclusively open tools and programming languages like python.
