After completing his PhD in computational neuroscience at Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris), Stephane is currently doing a postdoc at the interface of neuroscience and artificial intelligence in the lab of Surya Ganguli at Stanford. He develops and applies tools from mathematics, physics and machine learning to understand the inner workings of the brain, and especially how the early visual system performs extremely resource-efficient computations.
