Kiersten Ruda is a graduate student in the lab of Greg Field at Duke University. After studying physics in college, she joined the Field lab to understand how retinal ganglion cells convey visual information to the brain. Specifically, Kiersten uses multi-electrode array recordings to study how light adaptation impacts the retinal population code.
