Dr Olivier Marre is an INSERM researcher working at the Vision Institute, Paris. After his PhD near Paris working on the visual cortex, he worked as a post-doc in Princeton University with Michael Berry on population coding in the retina. He is currently leading a group in the Vision Institute working on retinal computations and circuits, using Multi Electrode Arrays, and more recently optical techniques, and combining theory and experiments.
