Dr. Greg Field received his Bachelor of Science degree in physics from the University of Puget Sound. He received his Ph.D. in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of Washington, working with Fred Rieke. His postdoctoral research was with E.J. Chichilnisky at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. He was a Assistant professor at the University of Southern California from 2012-2014, and moved to Duke University School of Medicine in 2015. His laboratory studies how populations of retinal ganglion cells process and encode visual input.
